A question about your information?
For a question, an access request, or a complaint, contact:
Thomas TainturierPerson responsible for the protection of personal information · 2T Conseilsthomas@2tconseils.caInformation collected
The information collected depends on how you use the site.
- Contact form and email: your name, email address, company if provided, and the information you choose to include in your message. The form requires a name, email address, and message so I can respond; the company field is optional.
- Appointments: your contact details, selected time, and answers you provide through Calendly.
- Browsing and security: pages visited, clicks on certain links, device and browser type, referring source, and an approximate region. Your IP address and request times may also be processed to deliver the site and limit abuse.
- Client portal, if you have access: your account contact details, requests, shared documents, follow-up decisions, and billing information related to your engagement.
How information is used
This information is used to respond to your enquiry, understand your needs, and arrange a meeting. If you become a client, it is also used to prepare and deliver the engagement, share documents, and manage billing.
Technical data helps protect the site, diagnose errors, and understand which pages or actions are useful. Your form message is not sent to the analytics tool. Sending a message does not subscribe you to a newsletter.
You can email me instead of using the form. In either case, include only information relevant to your enquiry.
Service providers
Some information passes through services needed to operate the site and handle communications:
- Vercel: website hosting, page delivery, technical logs, and traffic analytics.
- Resend and email services: sending and receiving messages, including their contact details and content.
- Supabase: client portal data and notification delivery logs, including recipient, subject, and delivery status.
- Calendly: appointment scheduling and information entered in its calendar.
These providers may process or store information outside Quebec, including in the United States. Laws in those locations may differ from Quebec law. You can ask me for details about the services used for your file.
Access to files is limited to people who need it for their work. Information may also be disclosed with your authorization or when required by law. Personal information is not sold.
Cookies and browser preferences
The site uses local storage and certain external services. Their behaviour depends on the features you open.
- Light or dark mode: your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. You can remove it by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
- Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics measures visits and certain interactions without advertising tracking cookies. It uses technical request data to produce its statistics.
- Calendly: the embedded calendar loads only when you open appointment scheduling. Calendly may then use its own cookies and provides its privacy choices. You can also contact me by email.
- Client portal: a session cookie needed for sign-in is used after authentication. It lasts at most 12 hours; signing out removes it.
How long information is kept
Retention depends on the purpose of the file and applicable obligations.
- Enquiries that do not become an engagement: retained for up to 12 months after the last meaningful exchange to allow follow-up. Information that is no longer needed is deleted sooner.
- Client files: kept during the engagement, then according to follow-up needs and applicable contractual, accounting, tax, or legal obligations.
- Technical logs and backups: retention depends on their purpose and provider settings. Information deleted from active systems may remain temporarily in backups until they are replaced.
Protecting information
The site uses HTTPS. The client portal requires authentication and access controls. The contact form has measures to limit automated submissions and abusive requests.
Thomas Tainturier is responsible for privacy requests, access controls, and applying retention rules. A legal obligation, claim, or dispute may justify keeping information longer than the periods listed. No transmission or storage method can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and complaints
You can write to thomas@2tconseils.ca to exercise the following rights, subject to the conditions and exceptions provided by law:
- Find out what information is held about you and request access.
- Have inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous information corrected.
- Withdraw consent for a use based on that consent. This may limit follow-up or a service that needs the information.
- Request deletion of information that no longer needs to be kept, subject to applicable obligations.
- Request a copy of your computerized information in a structured, commonly used format where the right to portability applies.
Proportionate identity verification may be necessary to protect your file. Access or correction requests receive a written response within 30 days of receipt. For a complaint, describe the situation and the outcome you are seeking; the person responsible for personal information protection will review it.
You can also contact Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information to pursue a remedy or file a complaint.
